This is my face when I play with tech.
I've been working as a UX Designer for 6 years now. As an Art Director in Advertising before this, I also was responsible for building digital products but the perspective was more focused on marketing than usability.
In the last 6 years, I've had the opportunity to define my skills with a focus on usability and a better understanding of UX principles, and did that with some great products and companies and of course with amazing people. My experience spans across marketing and financial industries in both mobile and desktop solutions.
My main skill is the one I've grown for about 11 years, Visual Design, but now I can also say I'm very comfortable with complex UX projects that involve User Research, Information Architecture, and Prototyping.
In my 11 years in Advertising, I found myself working on diverse challenges for various national and international brands. From simple banners to landing pages, websites, community platforms, loyalty programs, and digital products like mobile apps, web apps, console apps, and some mini-games — I had the chance to engage with an array of exciting industries that would bring more interesting perspectives.
My education history in Informatics gives me an edge over many other designers as I learned to code in both high school and university so I have a good understanding of the limitations and opportunities of different technologies, especially regarding the front-end. Sure I don't code anymore as it wasn't something that got my attention, but still the knowledge and insight are there.
The last 4 years I spent working with and on different tech start-ups and this also helped me understand the business side so now I can build stuff also having in mind a business justification for my design. So, Building where business objectives and user needs intersect
I also have 4 years of experience as a Creative Director growing and leading a 1-team creative department at first to a 6-team creative department, all ready to tackle any kind of project Advertising clients would bring to our table. So proud of them.
Now, I'm an active UX person, still learning and experimenting with any tech that's stirring interest and discussion as I'm also proud to say that I'm a geek. I have adopted AI as an assistant that gives me more time for the really meaningful tasks that involve more of what I enjoy, thinking and designing, and less of the tedious, repetitive, and life-sucking tasks.
There is so much more to learn and experience and I'd love to do that by being part of a team that has a healthy culture for growing and understanding the value of both work and people.
Collaborate with me or hire me?
Either way, let’s start with a short meeting so you get to know me even better and I you.
Let’s start with “Hello there!
Oh and maybe you’d also like to take a look and subscribe to my newsletter #TipTrickTool. It’s sort of a pay-it-forward for all the things I’ve learned from other people. Trying to give back to the junior designer and not only. I write about design in general, UX, tech, and common sense really.
